Welcome to Aberaeron Swimming Club website. We are a small friendly swimming club based at the local pool in Aberaeron. The club is commited to encoraging all children to enjoy their swimming regardless of age or ability. We offer weekly 1 hour beginner sessions to those new to the sport and at only £12 a month it's half the price of lessons. All that we ask is that your child is confident in deep water and able to swim at least 10m. If you would like your child to develop their swimming and learn how to perform each stroke correctly then please contact us to arrange a free trial session.

NEWS
As the Club now moves forward and our numbers increase we would like to offer swimmers more choice and access to training sessions. As from April 30th 2012 we will now have the whole pool on Thurs evenings and so are able to invite more swimmers to attend this session. Please see the Squads page for details of the new times for each squad and watch the notice board to see which squad you have been placed in. All changes are effective from April 30th but are not final. Swimmers do not need to accept promotion to a higher squad and can remain where they are if they wish. Letters will shortly be given to all members clarifying their squad, training times and monthly fee.
Well done to those swimmers who have been promoted to new squads, a new squad list will be on the notice board soon. Promotion is agreed by all coaches and is based on a number of factors, attendance and performance at both galas and training as well as attitude, behaviour and conduct during training sessions.
Please refer to the events page for entry packs to forthcoming galas I will do my best to post them as soon as I have the info.
Please can all swimmers and parents make a concerted effort to keep up to date records of times acheived. Official times will be need to enter most galas and it really helps the person submitting the entries if swimmers have included their times. Log books are available from most on-line swim shops or a simple spreedsheet does the same job.
